update on the latest news in NPCC at Mayflower Secondary School!!!
1. Sergeant Test criteria:
-drills section

drills: 40 marks
MOI: 40 marks
WOC: 40 marks
uniform inspection: 20 marks

-campcraft section:

campcraft theory: 50 marks
8 basic knots: 16 marks
5 lashings: 10 marks
tent pitching: 15 marks
timing for pitching the tent: 5 marks
able to peg and tie guyline without any help: 4 marks

the drills section is /140, which makes up 70% of the total marks
the campcraft section is /100, which makes up 30% of the total marks

2. This news is for the Sec1s:
hey guys, u can join us for CCAs this Thursday, 12/1/2012, from 3.30pm to 6.30pm!!!! our programme for u guys might include ice breaking games, so on ans so forth. i wont reveal everything here!! its for us to know and for you guys to find out! So do come down and join us this Thursday to witness what its like to have trainings at NPCC!

SG United Jamboree

The SG United Jamboree is organised by the Community Engagement Programme (CEP) Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, with support from Home Team departments and the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps (NCDCC). There are a total of five workshops. They are Photography, Drumming, Cartoon Drawing, Drama and Song Writing. We are given two out the five workshops to go to. The opening ceremony was a percussion performance by us as they placed percussion instruments on our chairs and we are supposed to play it. It was a very good experience and all of us had a lot of fun. After the morning workshop is lunch for an hour , then the afternoon workshop. Then the workshop ended with another percussion performance and we had a kit bag as a souvenir. The workshops are very fun and we had a good time.

Hi everyone:D I'm Merlissa, Sec3, and I'm officially here to write everything about our NPCC trainings on the blog! So, for the next few months before next year, I'm going to write all about our fun stuff at CCA times! Well, to start off, I"m going to point out a few events for the next few weeks( Those that i know:D)
Wednesday: NPCC Service Day( details to be pointed out on the dya itself)
Thursday: Paintball at Red Dynasty Park!!!! (For Sec 2s who are 14, Sec 3s, 4s and 5s!) Time: 5.30pm Venue: Bottletree park:D Pretty Please, Sign Your Indemnity Forms and Consent Forms, Same For Service Day, pass up to respective CLs..:)
